Sacred Symbols Through Cultures in the Light of the Bible Across time and nations, people have physically marked themselves on the forehead, hands and body as a sign of identity, covenant, protection or spiritual insight. This theme explores three powerful symbols: 1. Tefillin from Judaism 2. Hand Bands from diverse indigenous and spiritual traditions 3. Pottu (Bindi) from Indian cultures Although they come from different cultural paths, all three echo the biblical call to carry God’s Word, identity, and light visibly and actively. 1. Tefillin       Dates back over 3,000 years, rooted in Hebrew tradition. Based on God's commandments in Torah: leather boxes with scrolls of Scripture, tied to forehead and arm. Represents obedience, remembrance, and God's law being bound to thought and action.  Old Testament Verses: “Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.” - Deuteronomy 6:8 “These commandments... Impress them on your children. Talk...

 Obedient to the Sovereign

The Bible verse says, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right". Ephesians 6:1

We must live on this earth in harmony with what we have seen and know, in obedience to our parents, whom we have tasted, and to our parents, who, by the grace of God, have given us life. In the same way, some must submit to the Lord our God, who gives life to all creation. That's justice!

In the world of AI, i.e., Artificial Intelligence-2020 +, even the robot created by humans works by following the given instructions and surpassing the man in the Supervised, Unsupervised Predictable Pattern. It is right to obey our parents and God.

The person I recognized as such a submissive was Abraham and his son Isaac, who appear in Genesis chapter 22!

Do you ask?

Why Abraham and Isaac?

And so what did they do?

Are we any different?

Did they go to heaven?

Are there any testimonials?

What are they special about? Listen!

They're the foundation of it all! Yes! That is OBEY!

Here, God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, who was his only son. He did not answer and was ready to die.

In Genesis 22:7, the Son asks, "My Father! There's fire and smoke. Where is the goat? How does a father feel when he hears this? ! !

What do we do in this situation?

But Abraham responds in Genesis 22:8. Don't worry, "God will take care of the lamb for his burnt offering."

And immediately after saying this, Abraham began to build the altar. And he tightened his son Isaac on it. At that time, Abrahams obedience was revealed!

He didn't say anything against God's Word, and he didn't plan anything wrong. Isaac was the son God had promised him when he was a hundred years old.

You may have heard that when God said to sacrifice, you promised to sacrifice this child. Even when he went to sacrifice, he might have delayed the days by praying that God would relent. The victim could have escaped by telling his son even after his death. But Abraham didn't do that.

Why this obedience?

This is the fear of God. Genesis 22:10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. And Isaac was indignant to prevent it, and without saying a word, he lay down on the altar, bound in silence.

Here is the obedience of the Son!

Last month, in December 2024, he killed his mother, father and sister for not giving him property.

A lot is going on in the world!

Where's the obedience?

"Selfishness," "I am," "Mine." As a result, he and his family perished. From the elderly who have to live as a model to the children who are accustomed to walking, there is no obedience, no will to endure rebuke, no patience to think. Where have the footprints of the missionaries gone in this world life? Where have all the pieces of history gone? Why instead? For what? The question arises.

The blessing that Abraham inherited through obedience on that day was a blessing not only to him but also to his offspring, as stated in Genesis 22:16 to 18.

It can still be seen in the church that this Abraham, who in the Gospel of Matthew rested the poor man Lazarus in his bosom in heaven, is encouraging children to go to the Kingdom of God with the instruction: Abrahams grandfather has many children, and you and I will be among them, and we will praise God. To this day, he can still be heard praising and calling Abraham the father of obedience.

Moses' obedience to the Lord resulted in the Law as stated in Exodus 20. It is still the guiding light of life.

In Joshua 11:15, Joshua became subject to the LORD and Moses, and he took possession of the land of Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the land of Israel.

1 Samuel 3:10 Samuel was a great judge because he obeyed Eli and the Lord. Many high-ranking people can be like this. Thus, it can be seen that theocratic ones have the quality of remaining obedient.

The Bible says that even our Son, Jesus Christ, by obedience to Philippians 2:6 to 11, humbled himself to the point of death and received the highest name in the kingdom of God. Therefore, even after saying that there is no change in the ascension of the obedient. Once more, for children and all, be subject to your parents, that your days may be multiplied in the earth; and to obey your Lord, that your seed may be blessed in the earth.

Obey!

Obey!

Obey!

I say to you, take possession of the kingdom prepared for you in heaven.
